Meet the experts
Richard Shepherd CEng MWeldI
Richard has an extensive background, and experience in engineering applications for Polymers (rubber, plastics and adhesives) in the Energy, Civil Engineering, Aerospace, Automotive and Medical sectors. Having trained as a Mechanical Engineer, he was one of the founders of MERL (Materials Engineering Research Laboratory - now part of Element). His career has included roles such as Operations and R&D Management at Board Level, Market Development, Supplier Quality Management, Product Development and Testing and Subject Matter Expert for Polymers at ExxonMobil. Richard brings this extensive experience to AMI.
Geoff Small
Geoff has worked in the polymers and composites industry for more than 35 years. He has held a number of senior positions across R&D and commercial roles in this time, including Head of Research and Development: Energy at Victrex. He has worked with a wide range of polymer materials and applications with focus on the Energy Sector and has a particular interest and expertise in degradation and lifetime prediction.
